Of Festivals and Fey

Coming very, very soon: August 2026!

Songbird has never done a proper Uhel. So when Hardric, the aging knight who keeps the village, invites her and Jaren to Castle Mulk to help with the solstice feast, they can’t possibly say no. Soon, Jaren, Illina, and Songbird are all hard at work preparing for the feast.

But when Ficiun arrives, Songbird’s holiday plans spin into mischief. Doing her best to balance entertaining a capricious fey lord and holiday preparations, she soon learns the hidden grief, loneliness, and worry the holidays can bring. Can Songbird solve all the castle’s problems before Uhel or is the holiday doomed to be a disaster?

“A tender, holiday-centered fantasy about unlikely found family, a meddlesome fey lord, and the holiday rituals that bring them together.”
